Sport Psychology

The most important part of every athlete's game

We truly believe the most important 8 inches on any field or court are the 8 inches between an athlete’s ears. A young athlete can have all the physical tools in the world, but without a well-balanced cognitive approach and healthy support structure, all that time, effort and investment can go to waste.

That’s why we place as much effort on the mental development and tools in youth sports as we do on the physical training and nutrition. If emotions aren't working at optimal levels, then how can the body perform at optimal levels? And there are so many factors that impact a young athlete’s emotional state – the pressure of parents and coaches, confidence issues, fear, peer pressure, just to name a few.

Our world-class psychologist has assembled a set of guiding principles that provide practical insights, tools and resources meant to help the three groups most impacted in the youth sports experience: athletes, parents and coaches.
